1. Information We Collect

WhataburgerNutrition.com is designed as a privacy-first utility. We do not offer user registration, login accounts, or comment sections, and we do not collect personally identifiable health records.

If you choose to contact us voluntarily via email at restaurantscalories@gmail.com or through our contact page to report a menu update or ask a question, we only use the contact details you provide to respond to your inquiry.

2. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)

To provide a convenient user experience without requiring an account, our calculator stores specific preferences directly on your device using your web browser's localStorage API:

whataburger-saved-meals — Stores the custom meal combinations and names you save inside the Meal Builder.
whataburger-calorie-budget — Stores your custom daily calorie target (default: 2,000 calories).
theme — Stores your display preference (light or dark mode).

This local storage data never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time using the "Delete" button inside the Saved Meals modal or by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Cookies & Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-57ZSFF5S7P) to collect anonymized, aggregate usage metrics—such as which pages are visited, device types (mobile vs. desktop), approximate geographic region, and session duration. This helps us improve calculator performance and mobile usability.

Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (such as _ga) in your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by using browser privacy extensions, enabling "Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control, or installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. External Links & Social Sharing

Our Website contains links to external websites (such as official Whataburger resources at whataburger.com) as well as optional share buttons for X/Twitter and Facebook. Share buttons only open the respective platform when you explicitly click them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.

5. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA, GDPR & State Laws)

Because we do not collect or store personal accounts or personal meal profiles on our servers, we do not maintain personal databases of visitors. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), the European Economic Area (GDPR), and other jurisdictions have the right to know what data is collected and to opt out of non-essential cookies via their browser settings.

6. Children's Privacy

WhataburgerNutrition.com is a general-audience nutrition reference tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
